It starts with a queue, not a curtain

The theatre exchanges tickets for entry from 4:00pm, and be there by 5:30pm at the latest, and where you go from there depends on your seating tier — Main Deck, Quarter Deck, Captain's Table or VVIP all use the same galleon stage but different doors and rows. Arriving early in the exchange window is the single easiest way to avoid the desk queue that builds up as 6:00pm approaches, especially on a peak-season night.

The ship rises on a fixed story

At 6:00pm the house lights fall on the 12-metre replica galleon at the centre of the room, and the show's narrative begins: Sir Henry Morgan's crew against the villain Jacques Lafitte, fighting over the treasure of the Hispaniola. The audience is split into four camps on arrival, each backing a different captain — a structure that turns a passive audience into one taking sides before the first act finishes.

The rigging is where the show actually happens

From roughly 6:20pm, international acrobats work steel rigging strung out above the tables — standing in for the galleon's own masts and yardarms — while choreographed sword-fights and fire performance play out at table level and on the ship itself. The performers are working directly above the audience rather than on a stage set back from it, which is the point of building the theatre around a galleon in the first place.

Dinner does not pause the show

Plates move along the tables between the acrobatic and combat set-pieces rather than during a separate interval. Adults get roast chicken, chips and corn on the cob; children get nuggets and chips; ice cream closes the meal. The pacing means you eat in the gaps the choreography leaves you, not on a fixed clock of your own.

How it ends

The rivalry between the four camps resolves in the closing act, and a comic character known as the Dame sends the room out with wordplay rather than a formal bow. Total running time from the 6:00pm start is about three hours, putting most nights out by around 9:00pm — early enough to still make a late evening in Magaluf afterwards if you want one.
